Zeros in the Sand Background<\/span><\/span><\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n Lars: “The creation of Zeros has been a long process.<\/span><\/span> On the one hand incredibly simple, but at times emotionally quite complicated.<\/span><\/span> I’m glad we set some boundaries before we started.<\/span><\/span> The fact that we’ve only had 16 tracks to record on has meant that we’ve been able to steer clear of unimportant stuff, and instead have been able to focus on the innermost essence of the songs.<\/span><\/span> On these recordings, Githa has dusted off her old main instrument, the saxophone, and I’ve been playing with my old Hammond, so in that way the recordings have also been a journey back to ground-zero.<\/span><\/span> Everything is, as on our first album, recorded live and acoustic, without the use of the usual tuning mechanisms, which creates a nudity that can be quite challenging for a singer.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n \u201d<\/span><\/span> Githa: “I would like to add that Lars and I have experienced the recording of each song as a journey of discovery that has led us into often surprising transformation processes.<\/span><\/span> The sound of the song, its texture, expression, feeling, pulse, message, authenticity.<\/span><\/span> A song must touch the heart before it is redeemed.<\/span><\/span> The whole – “the zero” must be caught and the ring thrown.<\/span><\/span> Here we have been uncompromising.<\/span><\/span> The question then is whether our hearts are moved by the same thing.<\/span><\/span> Do we resonate with the times?<\/span><\/span> We hope Zeros will resonate with you.\u201d<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n Here you can listen to a medley with 10 of the 15 songs from ‘Zeros’.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n Musicians\/ singers: Ghil and Peleh Ben-David (singing), Frank Lorentzen (guitar), Eddi Jarl (drums), Morten Maltesen (bas\/guitar), Per M\u00f8ller (guitar).<\/p>\n
